- You own what you teach and create. You give us permission to host and show it.
- If you run an academy, you're responsible for your content, your learners and any domain you connect.
- Don't misuse the platform, and we'll keep it running reliably for you.
1. Agreement
These Terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("Edredo"). They apply when you use edredo.com, the Edredo apps, or any academy hosted on an edredo.com subdomain or a custom domain connected to Edredo. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy policy.
2. Accounts
You must give accurate information and keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity on your account. If you are under [AGE], you may use Edredo only with permission from a parent, guardian or your school.
3. Academies, subdomains & custom domains
An "Academy Owner" is any educator, institute or organization that creates an academy on Edredo. Academy Owners:
- may choose an available subdomain, which must not impersonate another person or brand or infringe anyone's rights;
- may connect only custom domains they own or are authorised to use, and are responsible for their DNS settings and domain renewals;
- are responsible for their academy's content, pricing, refund policy and their own terms and privacy notice for learners;
- must comply with laws that apply to their teaching and their learners.
Subdomains are provided for use, not ownership. We may reclaim a subdomain that is inactive for [X] months, misleading or infringing, after giving reasonable notice where possible. If a custom domain stops pointing to Edredo, the academy remains available on its subdomain.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: upload unlawful, harmful or infringing content; harass other users; cheat on or tamper with assessments; distribute malware or attempt to break platform security; scrape or resell the service; or use Edredo to send spam.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the courses, lessons, files and posts you create. You grant Edredo a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display and deliver that content only to operate and improve the service. The Edredo software, brand and design remain ours.
6. Plans & payments
The Basic plan is free. Paid plans are billed in advance on a [monthly / annual] basis and renew automatically until cancelled. When learners buy from an academy, the sale is between the learner and the Academy Owner; payments are processed by our payment partner (such as Razorpay), and [platform fee terms]. Refunds for academy purchases follow the academy's refund policy.
7. Third-party services
Academies can connect services like Slack, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Discord and Telegram. Those services are governed by their own terms, and we aren't responsible for them.
8. Suspension & termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if required by law. Academy Owners will have [X] days to export their content and learner data after termination, except where prohibited.
9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Edredo is provided "as is". We don't guarantee particular learning or job outcomes, or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, Edredo's total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the [12] months before the claim.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and disputes will be handled by the courts of [CITY], unless local consumer law gives you other rights.
